Welcome! I am so excited to have the opportunity to teach your child. I have been teaching at Newport Heights for 22 years and am extremely familiar with the school. I love getting to know both your child and your family. I graduated from Long Beach State, then went to Concordia University for my teaching credential, and most recently went back to school to recieve my Masters in Education with a reading certificate. I have a 18 year old son named Blake, who is attending Vanguard University.

I am excited to start the new school year and looking forward to working with you and your child to make your child's kindergarten experience a wonderful one. I am honored to be your child's first teacher here at the Heights!

Welcome to Kindergarten!

I am looking forward to working with your child this coming school year.  Our grade level has many exciting plans and lessons in store for the coming year.  While the district supplies us with much of our instructional materials, we are asking for you to help supply your child with a few of the necessary items.  As you do your shopping these coming weeks, here is a list of the Kindergarten grade supplies that will help make their year a success!

2 gel glue sticks

1 pair of  Fiskar scissors

2 boxes  of  fat crayons (primary colors)

2 boxes of Crayola

2 bottles of Elmer’s glue

Cleaning wipes

1 container of baby wipes (these are great for little injuries and clean up)

2 black sharpies

2 black chisel tip sharpies

Box of large and small Ziploc baggies
